WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, Munich IP Dispute Resolution Forum (IPDR Forum), Center for Intellectual Property and Competition Law (CIPCO) University Zurich
The annual WIPO Mediation and Arbitration Workshop was held in Munich this year. The Workshop consisted of two one-day-workshops and was a joint effort of WIPO, the Munich IP Dispute Resolution Forum and the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition.
On November 9, 2017 the WIPO Mediation and Arbitration Workshop provided intensive basic training of a practical nature for party representatives in mediation and arbitration and for neutrals.
On November 10, 2017 the ADR Workshop for FRAND Disputes focused on challenges for dispute resolution in the context of FRAND disputes, including in the context of emerging developments in the automotive industry, and explored opportunities for ADR to resolve such disputes. In addition, the Workshop offered practical information concerning the drafting of tailored ADR clauses and submission agreements for FRAND disputes and the IPDR Forum presented its FRAND ADR Case Management Guidelines.
